Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of The Sky Heist (the "Service"), accessible at skyheist.me. By paying for entry or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these terms.
1. What the Sky Heist is
The Sky Heist is a digital experience designed to be left open in a browser tab. Its purpose is to invite a million people to be quietly present at the same time. When a million participants are simultaneously connected, the experience enters an 11-minute synchronised event ("the Lock") that completes the heist.
The Service is offered as-is. There is no guarantee that one million participants will gather, that the Lock will occur within any specific timeframe, or that the experience will appear in any particular way.
2. Entry and payment
Access to the full experience requires a one-time entry payment of US$1 (or the equivalent in your local currency, as displayed at checkout). Payment is processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store payment-card details.
Entry is one-time and non-recurring. There is no subscription. You will not be charged again.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) to purchase entry. By paying, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
4. Refunds
Entry payments are non-refundable. The $1 is not a fee for a deliverable product; it is your token of commitment to be present with others. See our Refund Policy for the narrow exceptions.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Attempt to manipulate, automate, or spoof the participant count (including running bots, scripts, or multiple accounts to inflate presence)
- Interfere with the operation of the Service or its underlying infrastructure
- Circumvent the entry payment or share access in a way that compromises the integrity of the count
- Use the Service to harass others or for any unlawful purpose
We may suspend or revoke access without refund if these terms are breached.
6. Recording, capture, and reproduction
The experience, including the Lock event, is intentionally designed not to be captured. We do not provide official recordings. We grant no right to commercially redistribute screenshots, screen recordings, or derivative works of the experience without prior written permission.
7. Intellectual property
All content, design, code, and concepts associated with The Sky Heist are the property of the operator and are protected by copyright and other applicable laws. The receipt PNG generated at the end of the Lock is yours to keep, but you may not represent any part of the experience as your own work.
8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability or that the experience will meet any particular expectation.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid for entry.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the operator's jurisdiction. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless required otherwise by mandatory consumer-protection laws applicable to you.
